Natural Dyes

Nature provides us with a broad spectrum of color which can be coaxed from various leaves, stems, flowers, and roots. We explore a variety of techniques to add rich, exciting hues to natural fibers. Learn how to release the gift of color from the plants around you.

Farming

Learn practical gardening skills and techniques while also gaining awareness of our role as stewards of the land around us. We explore the many aspects of growing your own food; from cover crops and composting, to soil fertility and pest management.

Food

Enjoying wonderful, fresh food is one of the great perks of growing your own. We invite you to come and share in the bounty from this fertile valley, and learn about recipes and techniques for optimal health and enjoyment.

Workshop participants at Red Twig Farm have a unique opportunity. Most workshops provide materials — Red Twig produces the full life cycle experience of the plants who are lending their wisdom to human endeavors. Seed to scarf, near to the land, I experienced the life of a plant capable of creating Indigo, a shade the modern world takes for granted. The land reflects the respect it is given, singing between it's two creeks.
Red Twig workshops yield the experience of a full sphere community along with thoughtful curriculum
and the deep wisdom of women who are engaged with unfolding the Earth's secrets.
